Shift Type: Rotating nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour night shifts — schedule varies with every-other-weekend coverage

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and stabilize pediatric patients quickly and compassionately in a fast-paced ER setting
- Perform triage, prioritize care, and coordinate treatment plans with the multidisciplinary team
- Administer medications and IV therapies safely and according to protocols
- Provide family-centered education and clear communication during stressful situations
- Document patient care accurately in Meditech and maintain meticulous clinical records
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and other nurses to ensure smooth patient flow and handoffs
- Maintain unit-specific policies and adhere to infection control and safety standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license required (temporary licenses are not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 2 years of Pediatric ER or specialty ER experience
- PALS, ACLS, BLS and TNCC certifications required
- NIH certification required
- Meditech experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and cover every-other-weekend as part of the rotation
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong pediatric emergency assessment and stabilization skills
- Proficient with trauma protocols and emergency interventions
- Medication administration and IV/line management expertise
- Excellent clinical documentation skills (Meditech experience a plus)
- Clear, compassionate communication with families and the care team
- Critical thinking and the ability to prioritize under pressure
- Teamwork and adaptability in a busy ER environment
