Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Support surgeons and the OR team during neuro and ortho/spine cases
• Accurately document patient care and perioperative events using Meditech
• Maintain patient safety and sterile technique throughout the operative experience
• Collaborate with anesthesia, CSTs and ancillary staff to ensure smooth case flow
• Assist with robotics and trauma cases when needed, contributing specialized skills
• Participate in unit call rotation and weekend coverage to support consistent patient care

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year experience in the Operating Room; Labor & Delivery only candidates not applicable
• Demonstrated experience in Neuro and Ortho/Spine cases (must have)
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR (preferred)
• Trauma center experience and robotics experience are helpful and prioritized

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing and surgical/OR best practices
• Neurosurgery and orthopedics/spine procedural workflows
• Meditech electronic medical record proficiency
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and patient safety protocols
• Ability to work efficiently in high-acuity, team-based OR settings
• Experience supporting robotics and trauma or general surgery cases
