Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality telemetry monitoring and compassionate direct patient care for a 20-bed unit
- Perform phlebotomy and timely clinical procedures to support accurate diagnostics
- Deliver wound care, tracheostomy care, and NG tube management with precision and attention
- Document patient care and clinical findings in Meditech in a clear, timely manner
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and execute patient-centered plans
- Maintain safe patient ratios and escalate changes in condition promptly to the care team
- Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring colleagues and supporting teamwork
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, with telemetry or med/surg experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Comfortable using Meditech or similar EMR systems
- Hands-on experience with phlebotomy, wound care, tracheostomy care, and NG tube management
- Willingness to work night shifts and maintain open schedule availability (5 days/week) with every other weekend coverage
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- BLS certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
- Strong clinical assessment and prioritization abilities
- Proficient with Meditech EMR documentation
- Skilled in phlebotomy, wound care techniques, tracheostomy management, and NG tube care
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management
- Patient advocacy and compassionate bedside manner
