Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (schedule varies across the 13-week assignment)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality med-surg nursing care to assigned patients
- Perform thorough assessments, develop nursing plans, and update charts accurately
- Administer medications and treatments according to policy and best practice
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
- Respond promptly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns as needed
- Maintain documentation in the electronic health record with attention to detail
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (must be valid for the assignment)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med-Surg nursing experience
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS or other specialty certifications a plus
- Strong clinical assessment skills and reliable medication administration
- Ability to adapt to unit processes quickly as a travel clinician
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid med-surg assessment and patient monitoring skills
- Proficient with medication administration and IV therapies
- Comfortable with electronic health records and accurate documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
- Able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment
