Shift Type: Primarily 12-hour day shift, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM; specific days vary based on float-pool assignment (day shift)

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate dialysis care to patients in alignment with facility protocols
- Assess and monitor patient status before, during, and after dialysis treatments
- Operate and troubleshoot dialysis equipment, ensuring proper setup and maintenance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update patient care plans
- Document patient care, treatment responses, and equipment parameters accurately in the EHR
- Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures, infection prevention, and self-care
- Respond promptly to clinical changes and escalate per facility policy to ensure patient safety
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license in the state of practice (or compact RN eligible)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience, with dialysis experience required or strongly preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or available
- Comfortable working in a float-pool environment and adapting to different unit workflows
- Current immunizations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of dialysis modalities, vascular access care, and fluid/electrolyte management
- Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic technique
- Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and the clinical team
