Shift Type: Flexible 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, typically 4-5 days/week (days flexible) - Day shift

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform PICC, midline, peripheral IV, and ultrasound-guided IV insertions with precision and care
- Provide expert vascular access assessment and troubleshooting to improve patient outcomes
- Document procedures and patient education accurately in the Meditech Expanse EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Cath Lab and bedside clinicians to coordinate care
- Teach patients and families about line care, signs of complications, and post-procedure instructions
- Maintain strict sterile technique and infection prevention practices during all procedures
- Act as a vascular access resource and mentor for staff, promoting best practices across units
Qualifications
- Active RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience (as listed in the job posting)
- Proven experience with PICC, midline, peripheral IVs and ultrasound-guided IV placement
- PICC and Midline certification are a plus but relevant experience is highly valued
- Comfortable using Meditech Expanse or similar EMR for documentation
- Flexible, patient-focused, and able to work well in a small, collaborative vascular access team
- Willingness to float to ER, ICU, Med-Surg, Step-down/PCU, and I/R as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong ultrasound-guided vascular access skills
- Knowledge of vascular anatomy, line indications, and complication management
- Excellent sterile technique and infection control practices
- Proficient clinical documentation and electronic charting (Meditech Expanse experience preferred)
- Strong interpersonal communication and patient education abilities
- Critical thinking and the ability to triage vascular access needs across units
