Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging studies across settings — DR rooms, portable, ED trauma, and OR — with accuracy and patient-centered care
• Operate and troubleshoot GE radiology equipment, C-arms (OEC) and O-arms safely and effectively
• Provide rapid, clear imaging for trauma and emergency cases to support lifesaving decisions
• Document and manage imaging records in Cerner RadNet, ensuring accurate patient data and image labeling
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, surgeons and nursing staff to prioritize cases and optimize workflow
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and unit policies while maintaining a calm bedside presence
• Support fluoroscopic procedures when qualified and assist with surgical imaging as needed
• Contribute to a team environment — mentor students, communicate shift handoffs, and help maintain department efficiency

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology — including portable, ED/trauma and OR imaging
• Hands-on experience with GE radiology equipment, C-arm and O-arm preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner RadNet or similar imaging EMR systems
• Comfort working rotating shifts and scheduled weekend rotations
• Strong teamwork skills, ability to work independently, and a calm approach in high-acuity situations

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven expertise in diagnostic/portable radiography and trauma imaging
• Skill in operating surgical/OR imaging equipment and supporting intraoperative procedures
• Understanding of radiation safety principles and infection control best practices
• Competence with imaging workflow and documentation in Cerner RadNet
• Ability to prioritize multiple urgent imaging requests and communicate effectively with clinical teams
• Preferred: experience with fluoroscopic procedures
