Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM Day shift; call/standby rotation with required weekends and holidays, 30-minute response time
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field and ensure all CVOR instrumentation is ready for complex cardiac procedures
- Scrub and assist during CABG, TAVR, and both minimally invasive and open valve replacements
- Anticipate surgeon and team needs to keep cases moving safely and efficiently
- Accurately document case details and chart in Epic as required
- Participate in the mandatory call/standby rotation and respond within the required 30-minute window
- Float to the Main OR as needed and collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors
- Adhere to crisis protocols and safety procedures to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of cardiac CVOR experience (required)
- BLS certification required
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Crisis Protocol Approved (per job posting)
- Experience with Epic charting preferred/required per unit
- Willingness to take call, work weekends and holidays as part of the rotation
- Current surgical tech credentials or applicable license to submit
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong CVOR skills including scrub technique for cardiac surgery
- Familiarity with CABG, TAVR, and valve replacement procedures
- Proficient with Epic for intraoperative charting and documentation
- Excellent sterile processing and instrumentation knowledge
- Quick, calm decision-making and effective communication under pressure
- Team-oriented approach working with RNs, charge nurses, and surgeons
