Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform decontamination, sterilization and assembly of surgical instruments and supplies to keep ORs running safely
- Execute high level disinfection (HLD) and follow strict infection control procedures to protect patients and staff
- Operate and maintain Steris, V-PRO and Medivator sterilization equipment with attention to manufacturer guidelines
- Prepare instrument sets and specialty trays for trauma and OR cases, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Document processing and sterilization activities in the electronic charting system (EPIC) and maintain required logs
- Collaborate with surgical teams and charge staff to prioritize urgent cases and support trauma-level workflows
- Participate in orientation and preceptor shifts to train and mentor new staff when needed
Qualifications
- CRCST or CBSPD certification required
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience, including exposure to trauma or OR cases
- Familiarity with Steris, V-PRO and Medivator preferred
- Experience with EPIC or other electronic charting systems is a strong plus
- Ability to be in-state for orientation week and provide a valid driver license as requested
- Willingness to work scheduled evenings and weekend night blocks
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CRCST or CBSPD certification (required)
- Additional allied health training or sterile processing coursework is a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in sterile processing workflows and infection prevention standards
- Skilled in decontamination, sterilization cycles and high level disinfection
- Comfortable using Steris, V-PRO and Medivator sterilization systems
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills for traceability and compliance
- Ability to prioritize instrument sets for trauma and OR needs under time pressure
- Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with surgical and perioperative staff
- Basic computer literacy for EPIC charting and electronic logs
