Shift Type: Rotating nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC; 12-hour shifts (night), schedule published 6 weeks out for 4-week blocks; every-other-weekend and included in holiday rotation

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care across MedSurg, Telemetry and PCU patients, including post-cardiac cath and CABG postop care
- Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips and act on dysrhythmias
- Titrate IV drips (Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin) safely and per protocol
- Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Chart accurately and efficiently in Cerner to maintain continuity of care
- Float between campuses and units as needed, adapting quickly to different patient populations and environments
- Collaborate with monitor techs, RTs and nursing assistants to deliver coordinated care
- Serve as a reliable, patient-focused clinician who supports quality outcomes on high-acuity units
Qualifications
- Active RN license eligible for practice in Arizona (license to submit required)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (per job posting) with at least 1 year of PCU/stepdown experience
- Comfortable and experienced titrating common drips and managing post-procedural cardiac patients
- Ability to interpret telemetry and pass the required dysrhythmia exam (score 80% within two attempts)
- Experience with Cerner or similar electronic health record preferred
- Willingness to float across MedSurg Telemetry and PCU and work nights/rotating schedules
- Must comply with radius rule and facility restrictions: candidates may not have been full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility within the past year and must meet the 50-mile radius requirement
Education
- Active RN license (required)
- BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry/monitor strip interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
- IV/drip titration and management of vasoactive medications
- Post-cardiac cath and CABG postoperative nursing care
- Familiarity with CPAP/BiPAP and heated high-flow therapy
- Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Cerner charting and documentation best practices
- Effective communication and teamwork in a float-pool environment
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple acutely ill patients
