Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts (06:30 AM - 06:30 PM), typically 3 shifts per week; schedule rotates across the week and includes every-other-weekend. Holiday coverage required (minimum 2 holidays during contract).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients with compassion and clinical excellence
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and cardiac rhythms using GE monitors and document findings
• Titrate drips and manage common infusions including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation safely
• Troubleshoot respiratory equipment from nasal cannula to vents and support respiratory therapy as needed
• Deliver trauma, cardiac, sepsis, and stroke care following unit protocols and best practices
• Chart accurately and efficiently in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Complete unit orientation and pass required skills assessment to maintain quality and safety standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse licensure required for submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required, NIHSS certification required
• Driver's license required at time of submission (radius rule applies)
• Ability to titrate drips and manage telemetry patients at a 1:2-3 adult ratio
• Willingness to follow facility policies including fingernail/artificial nail restrictions
• Successful completion of orientation exam (open book) with 90% required to continue on contract

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring and ECG interpretation skills
• Proficient with EPIC charting and documentation workflows
• Experience with drip titration protocols and cardiac critical care
• Comfort managing ventilator troubleshooting and high flow/CPAP/BiPAP support
• Experience with trauma, sepsis, stroke, and post-procedural cardiac care
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care ICU environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with interdisciplinary staff
