Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Support nursing staff with patient transfers, positioning, and comfort measures
• Document care and observations clearly to support continuity and safety
• Maintain a clean, safe environment that promotes dignity and wellbeing
• Build rapport with patients and families to create a warm, trusting atmosphere

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• Previous CNA or direct patient care experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role, including safe patient handling

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• State-approved CNA training program completion required

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, patient transfers
• Patient safety and infection prevention practices
• Accurate documentation and basic charting familiarity
• Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes to the nursing team
