Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on personal care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote independence
• Support meal, hygiene and toileting needs with dignity and respect
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care
• Document care provided accurately and on time to maintain excellent communication

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Previous CNA experience preferred but enthusiastic newcomers with strong clinical skills are welcome
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Professional, patient-centered attitude and strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Practical knowledge of activities of daily living assistance and patient mobility
• Strong observation skills for reporting changes in condition
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Comfort working independently on night shift and collaborating with a clinical team
• Compassionate bedside manner and good time management

This is a travel assignment in historic Gettysburg — when you’re off shift you can explore the Gettysburg National Military Park and Visitor Center, tour the battlefield and museums, visit the Eisenhower National Historic Site, stroll the quaint downtown with local shops and eateries, enjoy nearby hiking and scenic drives, and take weekend trips to nearby Lancaster or Harrisburg for markets, cultural events, and additional dining options.
