Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and patient changes accurately
• Support safe transfers, mobility, and proper positioning to prevent injury
• Assist the care team with treatments and follow care plans precisely
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control procedures
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Document patient care and observations in the electronic record in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) required
• Active CNA license or eligibility to obtain licensure in New Mexico
• Previous experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care and work as part of a team
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL support, safe patient handling, and mobility assistance
• Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and vital sign assessment
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Team-focused mindset and dedication to patient dignity and comfort
