Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts (Days), Every Other Week (EOW) rotation, First to Float; guaranteed 36 hours per week. Exact start/end times vary by unit and will be provided by the facility.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and manage ventilator-dependent patients with skill and compassion
- Perform respiratory treatments, arterial blood gas sampling, and airway management
- Operate and troubleshoot ventilators including Trilogy, Hamilton and PB/Phillips models
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and families about respiratory care
- Document interventions accurately in the electronic charting system and communicate changes in patient status
Qualifications
- California RCP license required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential via NBRC required
- Current BLS (AHA), ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in an acute care setting
- Comfortable with ventilator management and acute care respiratory protocols
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of ventilator management and acute care respiratory practices
- Hands-on experience with ventilator models: Trilogy 100, Hamilton G5, Hamilton C1, PB 840, PB 980, Phillips V60, Vela
- Familiarity with Cerner or similar electronic charting systems
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
