Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat outpatient physical therapy patients with orthopedic and neurologic conditions
• Deliver vestibular rehabilitation and BPPV management to improve patient balance and reduce dizziness
• Manage a typical caseload of about 8-10 patients per day while maintaining high-quality care
• Collaborate with PTAs, rehab techs, and the therapy director to coordinate patient plans
• Provide thoughtful geriatric-focused care and falls prevention strategies for an older patient population
• Document thoroughly and accurately in the Cerner EMR and participate in required departmental orientation
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to set goals and track progress

Qualifications

• Current state Physical Therapist license (or documentation showing license issuance process; License to submit noted)
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience
• BLS and CPR certification required
• Experience with EMR charting; Cerner experience is preferred
• Comfort working with geriatric, orthopedic, neurologic, and vestibular patient populations
• Ability to work effectively with PTAs and rehab techs in a team-based setting
• Candidates must not have been full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility within the past year (radius rule applies)

Education

• Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT or equivalent) and meets state licensure requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of outpatient orthopedic and neurologic evaluation and treatment
• Vestibular rehab and BPPV assessment and treatment skills
• Falls risk assessment and prevention strategies
• Proficient clinical documentation and time management for a busy caseload
• Effective patient education and motivational communication skills
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR workflows and departmental processes
