Shift Type: Day shifts, 4x10 schedule (10-hour day shifts, 40 hours/week). Includes call: 1-2 weeknights per week, 2 weekends per 6-week cycle; 30-minute call response time. Exact start/end times vary by unit.

Candidate Pay Rate: $80 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in scrub, monitor and circulating roles during cardiac cath, EP and hybrid procedures
- Support STEMI and cardiogenic shock cases with timely, high-quality technical care
- Prepare and maintain cath lab equipment and supplies to ensure procedural readiness
- Collaborate with the interventional team and cardiologists to optimize patient outcomes
- Respond to call assignments within a 30-minute window and provide dependable coverage
- Document procedures and chart accurately in EPIC to maintain clinical and regulatory records
- Float within the department as needed to support workflow across suites and labs
- Participate in unit-specific orientation and continuous competency activities
Qualifications
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) via CCI (required)
- BLS and ACLS (AHA) required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant cath lab or cardiovascular lab experience
- Solid STEMI and cardiovascular lab experience — comfortable in high-acuity cases
- Ability to float within the department and cover EP, cath and hybrid suites
- Willingness to participate in call rotation and meet the 30-minute response time
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the 60-mile radius requirement for orientation
Education
- No BSN required; relevant cardiac technologist certification (RCIS or RCES) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system
- Strong knowledge of cath lab procedures, scrub/monitor/circulating roles
- Experience with STEMI management, cardiogenic shock, CAD, PAD, and AF/flutter cases
- Familiarity with hybrid lab workflows and electrophysiology procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, trauma-level 1 acute care setting
- Excellent communication, teamwork and critical thinking under pressure
