Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic echocardiography and cardiac ultrasound studies to support accurate patient diagnosis
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, nurses, and the allied care team to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
- Accurately document procedures and findings in Cerner and maintain clear, timely charting
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures while following infection control and safety protocols
- Maintain required certifications and participate in 12-hour orientation to stay current with best practices
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives in the Echocardiography unit and help uphold Trauma Level 2 acute care standards
Qualifications
- ARDMS (required)
- RDCS (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant echocardiography or cardiac ultrasound experience
- Able to submit license (license to submit: yes)
- Comfortable working in an acute care setting (Echocardiography unit, Allied division)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong echocardiography and cardiac ultrasound technique
- Experience with diagnostic imaging workflows
- Familiarity with Cerner charting system
- Ability to work effectively in acute care/Trauma Level 2 environments
- Patient-centered communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail for accurate imaging and documentation
