Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality progressive care nursing to monitor and stabilize patients on a PCU telemetry floor
- Interpret telemetry and EKGs accurately — candidates must pass the EKG exam with no exceptions
- Deliver lifesaving interventions and medication administration consistent with BLS and ACLS protocols
- Document patient care precisely in Epic to ensure continuity and clear communication
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute patient-centered care plans
- Float between like units as needed to meet facility needs while maintaining scope of practice
- Maintain appropriate patient ratios (typically 1:4-5) and prioritize patient safety at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (PCU/telemetry experience preferred)
- Active professional nursing license appropriate for practice location (pending licenses are not accepted)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH (must be current)
- Demonstrated EKG/telemetry competency — passing the facility EKG exam is required
- Comfort and experience working night shifts and covering every-other-weekend
- Willingness to float within like units when needed
- First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry/EKG interpretation skills
- Proficiency with Epic electronic charting
- Solid critical thinking and rapid clinical assessment abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced acute care
- Familiarity with progressive care protocols and cardiac monitoring
- Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients while maintaining safety and documentation standards
