Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (day and night possible). Specific start/end times vary by unit and will be provided by the client. Position follows 12-hour shift pattern with 36 hours/week expected after the first week of orientation. Scheduled 12-hour on-call shift at least once per month. No guaranteed hours or shift preference.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based care for laboring mothers from admission through delivery
- Assist with safe deliveries and perform immediate newborn care and stabilization
- Manage postpartum care for mothers, monitoring recovery and providing education
- Perform fetal monitoring and interpret tracings to support optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, neonatal staff, and support services
- Document care accurately in the Meditech system and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
- Participate in unit call schedules and respond to 12-hour on-call assignments as scheduled
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of Hawaii required by the start of assignment
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on Labor and Delivery experience
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- STABLE and Advanced Fetal Monitoring recommended
- Experience with Meditech electronic charting and GE/Centricity fetal monitoring systems preferred
- Comfort providing care across L&D, postpartum, and newborn stabilization areas
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong Labor and Delivery clinical skills and newborn care expertise
- Fetal monitoring interpretation and use of GE/Centricity systems
- Meditech electronic health record proficiency
- Postpartum assessment and education
- Newborn stabilization and routine neonatal care
- Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced obstetric settings
