Shift Type: Primarily Day, 4x10 block schedule (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM); Monday–Friday coverage with variable shifts based on unit needs and staffing; one late-procedure on-call night per week (as needed)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor patients accurately throughout EP procedures and recognize life‑threatening arrhythmias
• Set up and maintain EP equipment and ensure sterile field as scrub or circulator
• Perform EKG lead placement and prep vascular access sites
• Support complex procedures including cardiac mapping, cardiac ablation, VT ablations and lead extractions
• Assist with insertion and programming of pacemakers and AICDs and support LAA closure and tilt table studies
• Operate imaging and monitoring systems (fluoroscopy, Philips, Siemens, ultrasound) and manage hemodynamic monitoring
• Maintain equipment, inventory and supplies to keep the lab efficient and safe
• Chart procedures and patient care in Epic accurately and promptly

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Electrophysiology (EP) experience
• CCI RCES preferred; CCI RCIS accepted (RCIS may be accepted in lieu of ARRT)
• Will accept RCIS or RCES without ARRT
• BLS and ACLS required; ARRT R preferred
• State licensure as applicable
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Comfort working in a teaching hospital environment and supporting complex procedures (lead extraction, VT ablation)

Education

• Certification: CCI RCES or CCI RCIS preferred (RCIS acceptable in lieu of ARRT)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• State licensure as applicable
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Electrophysiology studies, arrhythmia induction and interpretation
• Cardiac mapping and cardiac ablation techniques
• Pacemaker and AICD insertion/programming (PPI and temporary pacemakers)
• Hemodynamic monitoring and EKG lead placement
• Fluoroscopy operation and familiarity with Philips and Siemens systems
• Vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) and sterile scrub technique
• Ability to function as scrub, stim and monitoring tech; lead tech experience
• Use of Rapid Response/Code teams and strong situational awareness
