Shift Type: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Night shift, specific days vary)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform initial, age-appropriate nursing assessments to identify patient needs
- Complete ongoing reassessments and discharge assessments to ensure continuity of care
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on physician orders
- Administer medications correctly using med-verify and evaluate patient responses
- Communicate patient status and care activities clearly to the interdisciplinary team
- Document patient care in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards
- Initiate specialty or supplemental nursing notes as needed to support clinical decisions
- Participate in bedside rounding, multidisciplinary team meetings, and quality improvement efforts
- Maintain a safe physical environment and ensure equipment and supplies are ready
- Participate in emergency/disaster preparedness planning and response as requested
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Maine or a compact nursing license required
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Immunizations required: Varicella (2 doses or titer), HepB (3 doses or titer or declination accepted), MMR (2 doses or titer), Tdap, PPD 2-step or titer within past 12 months; flu shot required during flu season
- BSN preferred
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to perform required physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting up to 30 lbs, pushing patients in wheelchairs/stretchers, and safe patient handling
