Shift Type: Evening shift options: Option 1: 5 days a week, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (evening). Option 2: 3 days a week, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM (extended/evening). Occasional weekend shifts for both options. Shift type: evening/rotating.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with sterile instruments and supplies to ensure smooth procedures
• Assist surgeons during operations by anticipating needs and passing instruments efficiently
• Maintain strict sterile technique and infection control practices to protect patients
• Perform surgical counts and document accurately to support patient safety
• Collaborate with perioperative team members to coordinate patient preparation and turnover
• Complete required competency testing and documentation to meet facility standards

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• Current BLS certification required
• Ability to pass facility license and certificate verification
• Willingness to complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist
• Current immunizations and health screenings as required by the facility (fit test, drug screen, color vision, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hep B, influenza, TB screening, varicella, physical)

Education

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent training preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and operating room protocols
• Familiarity with surgical instruments, supplies, and procedural setups
• Comfortable with fast-paced OR environments and efficient room turnover
• Clear communication and teamwork skills to support surgeons, nurses, and techs
• Detail-oriented with reliable documentation and count practices
• Adaptability to evening and occasional weekend scheduling
