Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide continuous airway management for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation, including PB 980, PB 840 and V60 ventilators
• Perform patient assessments and deliver evidence-based respiratory care interventions
• Respond to emergencies and perform CPR when needed
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient respiratory outcomes
• Operate and document care in computerized charting systems and manage medication processes via Pyxis
• Safely conduct patient transport using ParaPac Transport Vent and assist with critical care transfers

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
• State of Hawaii respiratory therapist license required or application submitted prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Current BLS and ACLS required; PALS and NRP preferred
• Comfortable caring for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
• Experience with ventilator management and airway support

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ventilator management (invasive and non-invasive) and airway management
• Familiarity with PB 980, PB 840, V60 and ParaPac Transport Vent
• Experience with computerized charting and Pyxis medication management
• Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills (including CPR)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and the broader care team
