Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a rehabilitation setting
• Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery goals
• Document care clearly and promptly in the facility system
• Educate patients and families about care plans, progress, and discharge needs
• Maintain professional standards and participate in quality improvement activities

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (must be valid for practice in New Mexico or a compact state)
• Travel RN experience preferred; new travel nurses with strong acute or rehab experience are welcome
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications a plus
• Comfortable with 12+ hour overnight shifts and providing hands-on rehabilitation care
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of rehabilitation nursing principles and best practices
• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care basics
• Comfortable with documentation and charting in an electronic health record
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient/family education skills
