Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a rehabilitation setting
- Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery goals
- Document care clearly and promptly in the facility system
- Educate patients and families about care plans, progress, and discharge needs
- Maintain professional standards and participate in quality improvement activities
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license (must be valid for practice in New Mexico or a compact state)
- Travel RN experience preferred; new travel nurses with strong acute or rehab experience are welcome
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications a plus
- Comfortable with 12+ hour overnight shifts and providing hands-on rehabilitation care
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of rehabilitation nursing principles and best practices
- Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care basics
- Comfortable with documentation and charting in an electronic health record
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Compassionate bedside manner and patient/family education skills
