Shift Type: Wednesday-Sunday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Day (10-hour shifts, 40 hours/week)

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients thoroughly to determine functional deficits and therapy needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans focused on restoring function and preventing disability
- Administer physical therapy treatments and physical agents safely and effectively
- Document patient progress and treatment plans clearly and timely
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members on care planning
- Educate patients and families to maximize independence and support safe transitions
- Provide discharge planning recommendations and communicate follow-up needs
- Adapt care for the unique challenges of high-altitude inpatient acute settings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtainable upon hire
- Preferred: Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- Preferred: 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, ideally in inpatient acute care
- Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish
- Able to safely function in a high-elevation environment (approx. 8,000 ft)
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (required)
- Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient evaluation and clinical reasoning in acute care
- Treatment planning and goal setting
- Administering physical therapy treatments and physical agents
- Strong documentation and electronic medical record skills
- Interdisciplinary communication and care coordination
- Patient and family education with cultural sensitivity
- Time management in a fast-paced inpatient setting
- Spanish language skills are a plus
