Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in your assigned unit
• Assess patients, monitor clinical status, and make timely, informed decisions to promote recovery
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and promptly in the EMR
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans with clarity and empathy
• Support unit flow by prioritizing tasks, assisting with admissions/discharges, and mentoring teammates

Qualifications

• Current RN license or eligibility for RN licensure in New Mexico (compact license welcomed if applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred or available based on unit needs
• Experience in acute care settings helpful; travel RN experience is a plus
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and a collaborative mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring across a variety of acuity levels
• Medication administration, IV therapy, and basic procedures
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation and charting best practices
• Critical thinking and prioritization in fast-paced environments
• Teamwork, clear communication, and patient/family education skills
