Roles & Responsibilities

• Titrate cardiac drips safely and accurately to meet patient-specific goals
• Provide focused post-procedure care in cath lab recovery and observation
• Remove sheaths and monitor vascular access sites with meticulous technique
• Manage med/surg patients with strong assessment and clinical judgment
• Document care thoroughly in Allscripts to keep the whole team informed
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition using ACLS and BLS skills

Qualifications

• Active RN license eligible to practice in Texas
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience (cardiac PCU/stepdown or med/surg with cath lab exposure)
• Hands-on experience with cardiac drip titration and cath lab recovery
• Comfortable pulling sheaths and performing site monitoring
• Current basic immunizations and clear background/health screening as required

Education

• Nursing degree (ADN, diploma, or BSN). BSN not required for this role

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven competency in cardiac PCU/stepdown clinical practices
• Strong med/surg nursing knowledge and patient assessment skills
• Experience with cardiac drip management and titration protocols
• Skill in sheath removal and vascular site monitoring
• Familiarity with Allscripts charting and electronic documentation
• Critical thinking, prioritization, and teamwork under pressure
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues
