Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Provide compassionate bedside care while promoting dignity and independence
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics
• Document care accurately and timely in the resident record
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and multidisciplinary staff
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for residents

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — state registration required or ability to obtain
• Available to start on 2026-01-04 for a 9-week assignment through 2026-03-01
• Willingness to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift and every other weekend as noted
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Up to date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screening
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a caring attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in safe resident handling and transfers
• Knowledge of infection prevention and basic hygiene protocols
• Ability to observe and report changes in resident status
• Comfortable documenting care and following care plans
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
• Basic understanding of long-term care workflows and routines
