Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and accurately record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote resident safety
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in resident records
• Follow infection prevention protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Support resident social engagement and independence during daily routines
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) or T-LNA credential (VT or NH licensure appropriate for this role)
• CPR/BLS certification (current)
• Completion of an approved LNA training program
• Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
• Previous LNA experience preferred

Education

• Completion of a state-approved LNA training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs and observing changes
• Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
• Familiarity with infection control best practices
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Teamwork, time management, and the ability to prioritize resident needs
