Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate bedside care to residents and patients, preserving dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility and feeding
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes promptly to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and positioning to prevent injury and maintain comfort
• Communicate clearly with nursing staff and families to ensure coordinated, person-centered care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control and safety protocols
• Document care activities promptly and accurately in the patient chart or EMR

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Active, unrestricted healthcare licensure as required by the state where you will practice
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and skilled in basic patient care tasks
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient hygiene and personal care best practices
• Measuring and recording vital signs accurately
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Basic infection prevention and control
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and accurate documentation
• Time management, observation skills, and the ability to follow care plans
