Shift Type: Weekdays and some weekends, 3x12 Day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (Day shift), No call, rotating holidays
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, providing timely dysrhythmia management
- Perform IV starts and administer medications safely following protocols
- Use EPIC to document care accurately and communicate with the care team
- Provide patient-centered assessments and education for adults on telemetry units
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, efficient care
- Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity within the system when needed
- Respond to emergencies calmly and effectively, using BLS and unit skills
Qualifications
- Active RN license or eligible for licensure in Ohio
- Minimum 3 years of medical-surgical/telemetry nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Proven experience with EPIC is required
- Strong skills in IV starts and cardiac monitoring
- Comfortable with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Able to float within the OSU organization to equivalent or lower acuity units
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry and cardiac monitoring best practices
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- IV start and vascular access techniques
- EPIC electronic health record proficiency
- BLS and emergency response skills
- Patient assessment, documentation, and handoff communication
- Ability to manage 1:4 patient ratios on day shifts
- Teamwork, adaptability, and time management in acute care settings
