Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to assigned patients as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Perform focused patient assessments and report changes promptly to the care team
• Assist with activities of daily living while promoting patient dignity and independence
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and support staff to coordinate excellent care
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the facility electronic record
• Adhere to facility policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — Maine licensure required or eligibility to obtain
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Experience caring for adult patients in long-term care, post-acute, or similar settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team
• Reliable, professional, and patient-centered approach to care

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic patient assessment and vital sign interpretation
• Wound care basics and assistance with ADLs
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
• Time management, prioritization, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting
