Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 6:30 PM - 6:00 AM (12-hour nights); specific days not provided — typical travel/contract scheduling may be rotating nights
Hours per Week: 35
Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report meaningful changes to nursing staff
- Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
- Support resident comfort and dignity while fostering independence
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe care environment
- Document care and observations clearly in the patient record to support continuity
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to meet patient goals
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient needs with professionalism and empathy
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
- Active or eligible for New Mexico CNA registry (or able to transfer eligibility) — required
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification — preferred or obtain upon hire
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
- Comfortable with 12-hour night shifts and able to safely lift/transfer patients per facility policy
- Clear background check and satisfactory employment verifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Current CNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care skills and experience with ADLs
- Accurate vital signs measurement and recording
- Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
- Good communication skills with patients, families, and team members
- Basic documentation skills; experience with electronic health records is a plus
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond calmly in busy situations
