Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and document vital signs and resident responses accurately
• Support safe transfers and mobility, helping residents maintain independence
• Communicate changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Build respectful relationships with residents and their families to promote comfort and trust

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — must be valid in Pennsylvania or able to obtain
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED and successful completion of an approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care
• Comfortable taking and charting vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
• Good documentation and basic charting skills
• Strong teamwork, time management, and resident-centered care approach
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes effectively
