Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, promoting dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and resident condition, communicating changes to the nursing team
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Maintain clean, organized resident environments and follow infection prevention practices
- Build positive relationships with residents and families through clear, respectful communication
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Active state CNA certification or ability to obtain Pennsylvania CNA certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working as part of a busy care team
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of resident care
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care and resident safety procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with residents
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate observations clearly
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment
