Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
• Assist nursing team with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility and toileting needs
• Monitor and report changes in residents physical and emotional condition to the nursing staff
• Document care provided accurately and promptly in patient charts
• Support safe transfers and fall-prevention practices while using proper body mechanics
• Engage residents with dignity and respect, promoting independence and emotional well-being
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — must be valid for Pennsylvania practice
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but new grads are welcome
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a caring attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and resident-centered practices
• Skillful in safe patient handling and mobility assistance
• Ability to observe, accurately report, and document resident status
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and the care team
• Comfortable following care plans and working in a fast-paced care environment

This is a travel assignment in historic Gettysburg. Enjoy exploring the Gettysburg National Military Park and the excellent museum and visitor center to walk through American history.
