Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Support mobility, transfers and safe positioning to prevent injury
• Assist nursing staff with treatments and documentation in the patient chart
• Maintain a clean, safe environment while following infection control procedures
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families and the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification - required
• Current state authorization or ability to obtain Pennsylvania CNA credentials
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs, transfers and basic resident needs
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous long-term care or facility experience preferred
• Up-to-date basic life support (BLS/CPR) recommended or willing to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and safety
• Monitoring and documenting vital signs
• Safe transfer and mobility techniques
• Basic infection control and PPE use
• Clear, compassionate resident and family communication
• Electronic and paper charting basics
