Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
• Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to patients and families
• Take and record vital signs, observe changes in condition, and report concerns to nursing staff promptly
• Help with safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident interactions
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep everyone safe
• Collaborate with nursing team to deliver personalized care plans and improve resident outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• State certification valid for Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain PA certification quickly)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused mindset

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and activities of daily living
• Ability to measure and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Basic charting skills and comfort with electronic or paper documentation systems
• Physical stamina for lifting, turning, and assisting residents safely
