Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding and toileting)
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support mobility and safe transfers, using proper techniques to prevent injury
• Document resident care and observations clearly and promptly in the chart
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Communicate with residents and families with empathy and professionalism

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (valid in Pennsylvania)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Proof of required immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Comfortable working the evening shift and able to perform physical aspects of the role
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfort with ADLs, transfers and mobility assistance
• Accurate vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Basic charting skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
• Understanding of infection control and resident safety practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively during busy shifts
