Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers and safe use of assistive devices
• Observe and accurately document resident status, behaviors and any changes
• Take and record vital signs and report concerns to the nursing team promptly
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families and interdisciplinary team members
• Support dignified care and promote resident independence whenever possible

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (or eligible) — must meet facility requirements
• Current basic CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Comfortable with lifting/transfers and standing for the duration of shifts
• Strong communication skills, compassion, and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with ADLs and resident hygiene
• Basic vital signs monitoring and documentation skills
• Familiarity with infection control standards and safe resident handling
• Good time management, attention to detail and observational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with nurses and other care team members
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
