Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility to preserve dignity and comfort
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect patients and yourself
• Document care accurately and timely in facility records
• Communicate clearly with nurses, families and interdisciplinary team members
• Contribute to a positive, resident-centered environment through kindness and professionalism

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — active and in good standing
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing or similar setting is a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills, empathy, reliability and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Infection control and standard precautions
• Vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation
• Safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics
• Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
• Team collaboration, time management and customer-service attitude toward residents
