Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
• Support residents with bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting while preserving dignity
• Measure and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff
• Help with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Document care and observations accurately in the patient chart
• Collaborate with RNs, LPNs and the care team to deliver consistent, high-quality care
• Create a warm, reassuring environment and build meaningful relationships with residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, valid in Pennsylvania
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or obtainable upon hire
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by the facility
• Comfortable assisting with physical care and patient mobility
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous experience as a CNA preferred but dedicated new CNAs who are eager to learn are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic clinical care procedures and infection control practices
• Proficiency in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Ability to follow care plans and execute delegated tasks reliably
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and basic documentation skills
