Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living with dignity and respect
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and safe mobility
• Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, and other observations accurately
• Communicate changes in resident condition to the nursing team and participate in care planning
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents while following infection control practices
• Build positive, respectful relationships with residents and their families to support emotional well-being

Qualifications

• Current state CNA certification in good standing
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or must obtain per facility policy
• Comfortable with physical aspects of the role, including safe patient transfers and mobility assistance
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
• Eligibility to work in the United States and the ability to complete facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited/state-approved CNA program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and activities of daily living
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Infection prevention and standard precautions
• Resident safety, fall prevention, and safe transfer techniques
• Clear, timely communication and accurate charting
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to work well under direction and as part of a team
