Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and positioning to prevent injury
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the medical record
• Support restorative and rehabilitative activities as directed by the care team
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Contribute to a positive patient experience by delivering attentive, dignified care

Qualifications

• Current state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Proof of required immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Comfort working the listed day shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) and adapting to unit needs
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-first mindset
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab settings is a plus

Education

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care, dressing, bathing, feeding, and toileting assistance
• Knowledge of safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Ability to recognize and escalate changes in patient condition
• Familiarity with basic charting and electronic medical records
• Good infection prevention practices and adherence to facility policy
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
