Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding) to promote resident dignity
• Assist residents with mobility and transfers, using safe body mechanics and appropriate equipment
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report observations promptly to the nursing team
• Take and document vital signs and basic measurements accurately and timely
• Support mealtime and hydration needs, ensuring residents receive proper nutrition and comfort
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized care environment while following infection control practices
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach with good observational skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic resident care
• Understanding of infection prevention and safe handling procedures
• Basic skills in taking and documenting vital signs
• Ability to assist with mobility, transfers, and use of patient lifts
• Familiarity with charting and following care plans
• Good time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
