Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility to promote comfort and dignity
• Support bathing, grooming, feeding, and toileting with respect and privacy
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate resident needs to nurses and families
• Follow infection control protocols and contribute to a safe care environment
• Participate in team huddles and support a positive, collaborative workplace culture

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working in long-term care or facility settings
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with a commitment to quality care

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care best practices
• Skilled in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
