Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assist with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team, helping ensure timely interventions
• Assist with safe mobility and transfers, promoting independence whenever possible
• Perform accurate documentation of care, vitals, and observations to maintain continuity and quality
• Support infection control and cleanliness standards to keep residents and staff healthy
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and care staff to deliver person-centered care with dignity and respect

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Comfortable providing direct patient care and working as part of a clinical team
• Good communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff in a kind, clear way
• Ability to follow facility policies, safety protocols, and documentation standards
• Willingness to complete any facility-required onboarding and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Reliable documentation and attention to detail
• Compassionate bedside manner and teamwork skills
