Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including bathing, dressing, toileting, and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Help with meal service and document intake as required

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Up-to-date immunizations as required by facility policy
• Comfortable with hands-on care and safe patient handling
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care
• Ability to take and document accurate vital signs
• Understanding of infection control and standard precautions
• Teamwork mindset and ability to follow care plans
• Good time management and prioritization during busy shifts
• Respectful, patient-centered communication with residents and families
