Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
• Support residents at mealtime, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are respected
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through honest, respectful communication

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Valid state authorization to practice in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain quickly)
• Comfortable working nights and able to adapt to fast-paced long-term care environments
• Strong communication skills, compassion, and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of basic patient care and ADL assistance
• Vital signs measurement and documentation
• Safe transfer and mobility techniques
• Infection prevention and proper PPE use
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
• Clear, respectful communication with residents, families and care teams
